Whittier

Named after a school in honor of John Greenleaf Whittier, this neighborhood is considered one of the oldest in the city and has been titled such with its Denver Historic Neighborhood seal.

The charm and history of this old neighborhood is not lost with its splendid tree-lined streets and gorgeous homes of Victorian, Queen Anne, Denver Square and Craftsman architecture, many of which also have been designated as Historic Landmark Structures.

In combination with its proximity to Downtown, multiple parks and considered overall to be an economically priced neighborhood, Whittier attracts many diverse young families, and young professionals as well as sustaining its long time community members.

Gorgeous views of the city and front range and so close to many City Park activities, Whittier is a place you would want to call home.

“What I love most about this neighborhood is the historic feeling. Most homes are designated historic landmarks and as a community we take great pride in our neighborhood heritage.
