Although Berkeley didn’t get its official name until 1898 it had been an established North Denver neighborhood since 1892. The popular streetcar corridor (now Tennyson Street) gave way to the growth and groundwork that has become a cultural epicenter.

Berkeley Lake and Rocky Mountain Lake, Willis Case Golf Course and the famous Lakeside Amusement Park all make this the perfect area for new families, professionals and retirees. Charming old Victorians, brink bungalows, new builds and “pop tops” along with gorgeous tree-lined streets contribute to the massive growth and popularity this neighborhood has experienced.

Revitalization of the commercial and cultural epicenter for Berkeley and other surrounding neighborhoods is the well known Tennyson Street Cultural District which runs from 38th Ave – 44th Ave. A mecca for health, body and beauty, Tennyson St also offers a rich assortment of shops, restaurants and entertainment. First Friday each month is a popular way for residents to get together and stroll through their favorite galleries, boutique shops and meet for a delicious meal.

And dog lovers take note: Berkeley neighborhood loves their pets and is host to one of Denver’s only “off-leash” dog parks where Fido can run free.
