Lakewood

Lakewood Neighborhood Highlights

One of Denver’s largest suburbs, this fast-growing all-American stretch of Jefferson County is established and thriving.

Certified arts districts—including the 38,000-square-foot Lakewood Cultural Center and 40 West Arts’ public art installations and smattering of galleries and venues—turn out all-encompassing cultural offerings.

The Belmar urban center has become a destination in itself with more than 80 retailers and restaurants, an outdoor ice rink, movie theaters, bowling alley and a summer farmers market.

Residents find plenty of room to play among Bear Creek Lake Park’s fishing lake, paved and dirt biking and hiking trails and a summer water-skiing concessionaire.

Neighboring Hayden Park on Green Mountain rewards hikers with mountain vistas from its 6,800-foot summit and Red Rocks Amphitheatre and I-70 skiing access is right around the corner.
