With her intricate knowledge of the buying and selling process and her keen organizational skills, Laurie could easily be mistaken for a seasoned Realtor, but she’s never actually sold a house in Colorado in her life. Instead Laurie has found her niche on the management side of real estate as our full time, in-house, licensed Transaction Manager.
At first glance, the role of a transaction manager seems straightforward. Simply manage the transaction from contract to close. But we all know there’s so more to transaction management than just paperwork. The transaction manager is a Broker’s ‘right hand man’ and puts real estate into action.
“It helps to have someone on top of every aspect of a contract and transaction, especially when I’m busy or on vacation. I never have to worry about following up with clients, lenders, title companies or worry I missed a deadline. Laurie is more intuitive than an outsourced TC because she knows our company and our systems. It relieves a lot of the stress especially when juggling multiple contracts.” – Amy Kissinger.
Laurie maintains constant communication with our Brokers, clients and vendors to ensure the transaction process is as seamless as possible. The long list of tasks she performs includes everything from monitoring calendar dates, setting appointments, verifying documents are signed and initialed in the right places and auditing a file before a closing. She facilitates all aspects of our Brokers listing transactions, from scheduling pre-market services, handling MLS entry, photography scheduling, sign install, showing service and liaising with our marketing and design department. Ultimately she strives to create an accurate and polished image for a property before it goes on the market.
Prior to joining Urban Luxe at its inception in 2011, Laurie had a successful career in real estate as a Broker Associate in New Mexico.
